Registration Requirements

Freight forwarders and declaring agents are required to register with Customs if they are involved in the following activities:
  1. Declaration of Customs permits for their own company or on behalf of its clients for the import, export or transhipment of goods in Singapore via TradeNet®;

  2. Payment of Goods & Services Tax (GST) or other miscellaneous fees to Customs through the Inter-Bank GIRO Scheme;

  3. Applications for industrial duty exemption and other duty exemption or GST relief, other than applications for GST and/or duty exemption for used personal and household effects;

  4. Operating a licensed warehouse or Zero GST warehouse.
