Temporary Importation

Goods, except liquor and tobacco, are allowed to be temporarily imported for a period of 3 months for approved purposes such as exhibitions, auctions, fairs, repairs, demonstrations, testing and stage performances. Examples of goods that can be imported under the Temporary Import Scheme (TIS):

 
a.
  Professional equipment;
 
b.
  Teaching aids and scientific equipment;
 
c.
  Live animals for dressage, training or breeding purpose;
 
d.
  Motor vehicles for purpose of demonstration, training or racing in Singapore;
 
e.
  Medical supplies and stores for disaster relief;
 
f.
  Stage effects, equipment and paraphernalia and live animals required for performances;
 
g.
  Goods for display or use at exhibitions, fairs or any other similar events;
 
h.
  Horses, private or recreational boats or aircraft and vehicles for the purpose of sports, racing or any other similar events;
 
i.
  Conveyance for private or temporary use;
 
j.
  Scientific and technical goods approved by the Director General
