What is TradeNet®?
TradeNet®, Singapore's venture into electronic trading using EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), was implemented on 1st Jan 1989.
Under the TradeNet® System, the trading community is given the means of submitting permit applications electronically to the government bodies (Singapore Customs and the various Competent Authorities) for processing. If the permit application is approved, a permit message will be returned electronically to the sender.
TradeNet® Administrator
CrimsonLogic, as the Network administrator, provides the following facilities for the TradeNet® users:-
1. Information Services
- Permit Status Information
- Company Billing Enquiry
2. Network Facilities
- Password Management -> facility to change password
- Short-term Archive -> facility to retrieve lost permits (within 1 day)
- Acknowledgement Notification
- Audit Trail
3. Other Services
- Electronic Copy of Permit
- Permit Listing
- Permit Archive Retrieval Service

What you require as a TradeNet® User
As a TradeNet® user, you will need the following
1. Computer 2. Printer 3. Telephone line + modem 4. Certified TradeNet® software from an approved software vendor.
i) Windows-based
- Declaration data entry software
- Format translator
- Communication software (MHAccess) (Mandatory to communicate with mailbox)
You can purchase the software from any of the TradeNet® Frontend Solution Providers.
ii) Web-based
You need to apply for the Internet access account from an Internet service provider.
Important Notes
1) The TradeNet®System is available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week (Sundays and public holidays inclusive) except for -
Sundays from 4 am to 8 am for system maintenance

Please supply the following information when you report problems to the CrimsonLogic Help Desk:-
i. Name and contact no. ii. Account and User Id iii. Entity Identifier iv. Date when Permit Application was created & Unique Reference No. v. Job No. of the Permit Application vi. Date when Permit Application was sent vii. Type of Application (i.e. Message and Declaration type) viii. ERROR/STATUS message received ix. Nature of problems
