New TradeNet® version 4.0
New TradeNet® Version 4.0 will provide a streamlined message structure in five main message types that relate closer to the trade activities, and will require lesser TradeNet® fields for easier TradeNet® permit submission.
The streamlined message structure will be the new basis for the software design of all TradeNet® Front-End solutions that exchange electronic information with the new TradeNet® System. It is designed based on universal practice in the trade and logistic sector, and supports multiple modes of electronic data exchange. In addition to the current messaging standard in United Nations Directories for Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport (UNEDIFACT), the new TradeNet® Version 4.0 message specification is also available in the Extensible Markup Language (XML).
Value-Added Service (VAS) Providers who are interested in providing a TradeNet® Front-End solution can now register their interest at Customs_tradenet@customs.gov.sg by providing the following information for assessment by the Issuing Authority:
- Company name and background;
- Person in charge and contact number;
- Nature of business;
- Proposed TradeNet® Solution Plan (i.e. Providing TradeNet® as a stand-a-lone software solution, an integrated solution or direct system to system solution); and
- Required TradeNet® Front-end Message Specifications in the UN/EDIFACT or the XML format.
Successfully registered VAS Providers will be contacted for the signing of the Non-Disclosure Agreement and the collection of the requested TradeNet® message specifications.
