SPF Licensing Division controls the import of fruit / jackpot machines. The basic requirements are :
a) Before submission of application for the Import Permit Prior approval for the import of fruit/ jackpot machines is required by SPF Licensing Division. The club / exhibitor / trader has to apply to SPF Licensing Division in writing for approval to operate/ import fruit/ jackpot machines, providing the following details: i) number of machines to be imported ii) make, model and serial number of each machine iii) purpose of the import iv) brochure on the machine, if it is a new model
Upon approval by SPF Licensing Division, the club / exhibitor / trader can then submit the import permit application through TradeNet®.
If the machines are to be re-exported, proof of re-export must be given to SPF Licensing Division. Documentary proof such as Export CCP, Mate's Receipt, Air Waybill, are acceptable to SPF Licensing Division. If the machine is to be re-exported under escort, documentary proof of the escort service engaged must be produced to SPF Licensing Division for verification.
b) When submitting application for the permit via the TradeNet® In your application for the import permit for the fruit/ jackpot machine(s), it is mandatory to fill in the following fields :
i) 'Description of Goods' - make, model and serial number of the machine(s) ii) 'Remarks' - purpose of the import and reference number of SPF Licensing Division's approval letter
Some examples for purpose of the import are: - for installation in (name of club) - for installation on board vessel (name of vessel) and not for use in Singapore or in Singapore waters - for exhibition at (name of place) on (date) - for re-export through the same Free Trade Zone - for re-export through different Free Trade Zone
c. Follow-up action with SPF Licensing Division Applicants are to read the approval letter from SPF Licensing Division carefully and comply with the condition(s) stated in the CCP, if any.
