Registration Procedure

If a company is required to pay duties, GST and other miscellaneous payments through the Inter-Bank GIRO Scheme, it should comply with the following registration procedure:
  1. Possess a Central Registration (CR) Number.
    Application for the CR number is to be done via the OBLS website.

  2. Complete a copy of the Application for Inter-Bank GIRO Form ( DOC 323kb ).
If a company wishes to register itself as a TradeNet® user or for other transactions, it should comply with the following registration procedure:
  1. Possess a Central Registration Number.
    Application for the CR number is to be done via the OBLS website.

  2. Complete a copy of the agreement on "Terms and Conditions with Singapore Customs & Crimson Logic Pte Ltd for the use of TradeNet®" (for TradeNet® users only).

  3. Complete a copy of the Application for Interbank GIRO Form ( DOC 323kb ).

Submission of Completed Forms

Applications may be sent to Customs by post, together with all supporting documents, to:

Approval of Registration

Applicants will be notified in writing of Customs approval. For TradeNet® users, Customs will issue each authorised signatory with a declarant code. Crimson Logic Pte Ltd will issue him with a TradeNet® User ID.

When submitting declarations through the TradeNet® System, the declarant must enter the name as registered with Customs, the assigned declarant code and the TradeNet® User ID.


De-Registration

A company can de-register:
  1. itself if it ceases to have any dealing with Customs, and
  2. its authorised signatory when the person concerned is no longer under the employment of the company.
