As part of our efforts to enhance industry’s awareness of Singapore’s strategic goods control system, Singapore Customs has been reaching out to the industry through various outreach programmes since 2002.
A new series of Strategic Goods Control Courses was launched in August 2007 to meet the different needs of the industries:
- Strategic Goods Control Course for Beginners – Understanding Your Responsibilities and Obligations Under the Strategic Goods (Control) Act (SGC-RO) (DOC 32.5KB).
- Essentials of Internal (Export Control) Compliance Programme (SGC-ICP) (DOC 33KB).
*Pre-requisite: Participants should have attended the Strategic Goods Control Course for Beginners.
- Strategic Goods Control List (SGC-CL) (DOC 31KB).
*Pre-requisite: Participants should have attended the Strategic Goods Control Course for Beginners.

To apply for the course, please complete the Course Application Form (DOC 336KB) and submit to us via:

- Incomplete course application form will not be processed.
- The course application form and full payment of fees must reach Singapore Customs at least 7 working days before course commencement.
- Enrollment is contingent upon the receipt of the full payment of fees and availability of seats.
- Applicants will be notified of the course placement via email/fax.
- Singapore Customs reserves the right to postpone the course date in the event of insufficient enrollment. Applicants will be informed via email/fax of the changes.
- If an applicant is unable to attend to attend a course applied for, a request for replacement must be made in writing to customs_stgc@customs.gov.sg or fax to (65) 6355 2156 at least 2 working days before the course date. No refund of course fees will be entertained if you withdraw from or fails to attend the course.
For companies with Inter-Bank GIRO (IBG) account with Singapore Customs, the course fee will be deducted direct from your company's IBG Account.
If you do not have an IBG Account with Singapore Customs, you may issue a crossed cheque made payable to: "Singapore Customs" for the total course fee amount before the closing date of registration.
