Overview

The Strategic Goods Control List contains descriptions of items and technology that are subject to control under the Strategic Goods (Control) Act. Goods and technology that meet the technical specifications described in the Strategic Goods (Control) Order 2010 are controlled. If you are going to export, tranship or bring in transit any strategic goods, or strategic goods technology, you must apply for a strategic goods permit.

Apart from the controls over the export, transhipment and bringing in transit of strategic goods and technology, goods and technology belonging to certain categories are subject to brokering controls, and all the listed technology in the Strategic Goods (Control) Order 2010 are subject to Intangible Transfer of Technology controls.
