Chaired by PS (Finance), the Customs Advisory Committee (CAC) advises on the strategic directions to advance Singapore Customs as a world-class Customs service. The Committee suggests new Customs-related initiatives and provides feedback and advice on industry trends.
The Members of the Committee comprise senior officials and prominent personalities from both the public and private sectors. Public sector representatives are from government agencies that have close working relationship with Singapore Customs. Private sector representatives are drawn from the various trade associations so as to provide a comprehensive representation of the view of the business community in Singapore.
The setting up of the CAC is another step towards business excellence.
