You will be entrusted with the mission to uphold the integrity of the trading system and to support Singapore as a global trade hub.
You will be responsible for the operations of the Trade Documentation and TradeNet® Systems, including processing of permits, collection and accounting of government revenue, providing advice on classification and valuation of goods, upholding Singapore's Rules of Origin obligations and trade enforcement requirements under the respective FTAs, and administering controls over customs licensed premises as well as provide a credible trade enforcement regime.
You will lead teams of junior officers to provide for Singapore Customs' presence at the major checkpoints, provides intelligence support, conduct surveillance and investigations to suppress duty and syndicate smugglings, identify and investigate cases of commercial frauds.
You will also conduct policy reviews and drive Singapore Customs strategic and corporate planning processes and participate in International Customs and FTA negotiations. You and your teams of junior officers will also manage Supply Chain Security Management Porgrammes, formulate policies on supply chain security and conduct audits on companies.
