Singapore Customs has successfully carried out an upgrade of its IT systems in November 2007. The upgrade is necessary to increase efficiency and to meet future operational needs.
The parallel run for TradeNet® version 4.0 was carried out from 30 October 2007 to 30 November 2007. For some specific declarations, there was no parallel run and the cut-over from version 3.1 to version 4.0 took place on 19 November 2007. These declarations involve:
- Movement of goods in and out of Licensed Premises * ;
- Temporary Import Scheme;
- Parallel Importer of Motor Vehicles;
- Chemical Weapon Convention-controlled items; and
- Textile Tariff Preference Level
*Note 1: Applicable to Licensed Warehouses, Licensed Factory Warehouses and Type I Zero-GST Warehouses.
