Celebrating 100 years of Customs

Singapore Customs turned 100 in January 2010 and celebrated this historical milestone at the Orchid Country Club. The centennial celebrations was commemorated with the presence of Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, gracing the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The event was attended by some 450 Customs officers, trade partners, industry leaders and representatives from various government agencies.

Singapore rattles sabre against WMD proliferation
Singapore Customs took the lead in the Port Search Phase of the second Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) exercise held in Singapore, named Deep Sabre II, from 27 to 30 October 2009. PSI is a multinational maritime interdiction initiative aimed to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

Child’s play at Singapore Customs
A fun time was had by all on Customs' second Bring-Your-Child-To-Work day, held on 11 September 2009. This year, staff's grandchildren were invited as well, in the spirit of celebrating family togetherness and recognising the importance of family.
