Learn who to contact for postal and courier parcel enquiries, why parcels may be held, and what to do if your shipment is detained.

For Postal Parcels

Singapore Customs does not track or manage the delivery of postal parcels. All tracking and delivery matters are handled by SingPost.

For updates on tracking or delivery, contact SingPost via their Contact Us page. If Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) or SingPost holds your postal parcel, it may be held for one or more of the following reasons:

  • It contains dutiable goods.

  • It contains controlled goods.

  • It contains prohibited goods.

  • Its total Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) value exceeds S$400 and no invoice was attached at arrival.

If your parcel is held, SingPost will send you a notification letter explaining the reason and advising you on the next steps.

For Courier Parcels

For courier parcels, contact your courier service provider directly for tracking or delivery enquiries. Singapore Customs does not have access to courier tracking information.

A courier parcel may be detained by ICA or another regulatory authority in Singapore for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Contains dutiable goods

  • Contains controlled goods

  • Contains prohibited goods

  • Has a total CIF value exceeding S$400 and no invoice was attached at arrival

If your courier parcel is detained, the authority holding the parcel will issue a detention notice to your courier service provider. The courier will then advise you on the required follow-up actions.

To enquire about a detained courier parcel, request the following from your courier service provider and share them with the relevant authority:

  • Shipment details

  • Detention form or notification issued by the authority

  • Any additional information provided about the detained parcel
