Before departing from the airport, please proceed to the electronic TRS (eTRS) self-help kiosks to apply for your GST refund.
For check-in items: Before checking-in your purchases, proceed to the eTRS self-help kiosks at the Departure Check-in Hall (before Departure Immigration) to apply for GST refund.
For hand-carry items: Proceed to the eTRS self-help kiosks at the Departure Transit Lounge (after Departure Immigration) to apply for GST refund.
Customs Inspection: A Notification Slip will be issued at the self-help kiosk. If the slip indicates “not approved”, please bring your purchases, original invoices or receipts, eTRS ticket, and other supporting documents to the Customs Inspection Counter.

GST Refund Made Easy
- You are required to seek endorsement at the terminal where you will be checking in your purchases or where your flight will be departing from.
- You must depart with the purchases on a flight within 12 hours of obtaining approval for your GST refund.
- Singapore Customs will not be responsible for any delay or endorse your refund application if you fail to meet any of the eligibility criteria or conditions.
- Singapore Customs does not issue eTRS refund tickets nor process the refund of the GST. If you have queries on the criteria and procedures on obtaining the ticket, please contact IRAS via email or (+65) 63568633.
It is an offence to make a false declaration in the refund application to Singapore Customs, remove the purchases out of the airport, or to pass the purchases to other individuals after the refund application has been endorsed by Singapore Customs. Offenders can be prosecuted in court.
