The validity period of export permits are based on several factors, including the type of goods involved, purpose for export, place of release and receipt.

The table below shows the validity periods for the different types of goods exported:

Export Permit (Message Type) Type of Goods Exported Permit Validity
  • Direct export of goods from customs territory or Free Trade Zone
  • Approval date + 9 working days
  • Dutiable items released from licensed premises

Note: If you are unable to remove the goods within the stipulated period, you may extend the validity of the permit via TradeNet before the permit expires.

Error Messages

If a permit application contains errors or is incomplete, a rejection message with the code "DCS Error" will be sent through TradeNet.

For applications that do not meet Singapore Customs’ or other Competent Authorities’ requirements, a rejection message with the code "CA/SC Reject" will be sent.

You should re-submit the permit application after rectifying the errors or omissions. The re-submission will be considered a fresh application with a new unique reference number.
